About the position

Campfire Labs is a content marketing agency that helps brands like Dropbox, Asana, and Notion tell stories that inspire. We’re a mission-driven company that puts people first, and we donate 50% of our profits to climate action.

We're looking to add a few additional designers to our network who have experience specifically creating eBooks, as well as unique, eye-catching illustrations and graphics for B2B, SaaS, and tech content. This work will be performed on a freelance or contract basis and based on client demand.

Please note: joining our freelance network is not a guarantee of work. That said, we're always keeping an eye out for opportunities that will suit folks based on their experience and availability.

Here's a little more about what we're looking for:

Our freelance team members:

  • Create designs for clients including eBooks, illustrations for blog posts, and more (as/if requested)
  • Revise designs based on feedback from our editorial team and client stakeholders
  • Occasionally attend meetings with clients and the Campfire team during the project kickoff stage
  • Track their time on a per-project basis to help us understand which projects are taking up the most bandwidth

What we’re looking for:

  • Freelancing experience: This isn't your first rodeo: you've freelanced before (or done something similar), and have the design portfolio, client experience, and organizational skills to prove it.
  • Experience designing for B2B and SaaS: Having designed for a company like one of those listed on our website will help you get up to speed much faster.
  • Openness to giving and receiving feedback: You’ve worked closely with clients before, and understand that their feedback is what really makes design shine. Conversely, you use your own experience and knowledge to help us understand what the best approach to a project is and are open about what works and why.
  • Excellent organization: You can independently manage one or more design projects at once, and communicate about their statuses via email to project managers.
  • Kindness: Our team is built around a shared value of kindness: to each other, to our clients, and to the rest of the world at large. We look for this value in everyone we work with.

We’re excited to hear from you!
